Welcome! I’m Jordan Bicki.
I’ve been playing music my entire life.
I began playing at my home piano, learning how to play the songs I heard in a music-filled home. Eventually, my piano teacher suggested jazz piano which became my first step into jazz improvisation and developing a funky beat, while staying aligned to the songs and melody.
I began to prefer the guitar as my main instrument; and after receiving a scholarship from University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Performing Arts, I completed a B.S. in Jazz Guitar.
At Hartt, I was so fortunate play with my professors, who were seasoned professional jazz musicians, and was able to expand both the depth and breadth of my music while becoming a professional musician.
I now play guitar, stand-up bass, and trombone professionally.
I have had the pleasure of playing with The RI Philharmonic Jazz Quartet at an event in honor of President Barack Obama, managing the Providence Country Day High School Jazz Ensemble, leading a weekly “Jazz Sesh” at Blue, a jazz club in Portland, Maine, among so many other memorable performances.
I continue to write, record and perform original music for a wide variety of audiences throughout New England and in New York City.
I have studied jazz, blues, funk, folk, latin, rock ‘n roll, and hip hop; and have a long list of covers, standards, and original music to share with audiences of all sizes.
As a songwriter and producer, I love to play with, teach and direct individuals or small groups.
I look forward to working with you!
